Tim Gong
Mr. Gong joined SIG in Jan 2006 and now leads SIG’s entire VC effort in China.  Prior to joining SIG, he was a managing partner of PreIPO Capital, serving as a merchant banker and angel investor for many start-ups. From 1996 to 1999, Mr. Gong was the general manager of StarCom Products Inc. and also served as a senior management consultant for UT StarCom.  He was founder and President of Hotvoice Communications International, a Silicon Valley venture capital backed company that was considered to be an early runner in VoIP, IM and UMS technologies.  Tim received PhD in electrical engineering from Princeton University in 1990 and BS in applied physics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Joan Wang
Ms. Joan Wang has more than 13 years experience in IT / telecommunication industry. Initially as an engineer at AT&T Bell Lab and subsequently joining UT Starcom as a Senior Director in 1997, Ms. Wang witnessed rapid growth of high-tech industry and the business cycle that a start-up enterprise goes through, from which she gained extensive management and operation experiences. Since becoming a member of SIG in 2006, Ms. Wang has been playing a pivotal role in many investment deals such as Kuxun, Impression Creative, Polybona, TopOne etc. and been committed to strengthening the healthy growth and value maximization of the portfolio companies. Ms. Wang is a MBA graduate from INSEAD and possesses a Master of Science from State University of New York at Stony Brook and Bachelor of Science from Jiao Tong University of Shanghai.

John Zhu
Dr.John Zhu has over 15 years experience in healthcare industry including R&D, sales and marketing, in licensing, M&A and IPO.Prior to SIG, he worked for Mingly China Growth Fund responsible for healthcare investments. Before that, Dr. Zhu worked for Applied Biosystems and Shanghai Genomics.  Dr. Zhu earned his Ph.D. from University of Massachusetts Medical Center and MBA from University of California at Berkeley. 

Eric Xu
Mr. Xu joined SIG in 2007 after working with the VC/PE businesses of TDF Capital and CITIC Capital. Before that, he held positions at CLSA’s Hong Kong and Shanghai offices providing investment banking services, where he helped regional companies in capital markets activities , listing and M&A issues. Mr. Xu received MSc in Finance from Manchester University, and BA from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.



Hyris Du
Mr. Du joined SIG in 2009. Prior to joining SIG, Mr. Du was the Deputy Director of Trust Bridge Partners, where he focused on private equity investments. Before that, Mr. Du worked for the Ministry of Commerce, where he gained hands-on knowledge and rich experience in macro-economic analysis and government investment fund management. Mr. Du holds a Master of Economics from the University of International Business & Economics, and is a member of the China Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Emily Lin 
Ms. Lin joined SIG in Dec 2008 with significant experience in both operations and investment. Prior to joining SIG, she worked as a financial advisor assisting several companies in raising funds from several of well-known VC firms. Ms. Lin attained her master degree in industrial economics from Central University of Finance and Economics and bachelor degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from Hebei University of Technology. 

Ethan Hong
Mr. Hong joined SIG in 2009 after working at CCAC, a SIG portfolio investment, where he was in charge of the Strategic Development and E-commerce Departments. Before that, he worked in the Solution Center of China Concorde Alliance Company. Mr. Hong received a B.S. and M.S. from University of Science and Technology of China.

Zoey Shi
Ms. Zoey Shi joined SIG in January 2010 after a year of consultancy role with SIG. Before that, she served an Australia bank as a financial planner that provides mortgage, insurance and investment solution to individual customers. She also worked Dinners Club International (Singapore) as a system specialist after graduated from National University of Singapore with Bachelor of Computing. She received Master of Applied Finance and Accounting in 2007 and is a CFA associate member.


Sunny Shen
Ms. Shen joined SIG in 2010.  Prior to joining SIG, she worked as an attorney-at-law in king & Wood PRC Lawyers, Shanghai office, with abundant experience in bankruptcy reorganization and liquidation projects and several litigation and arbitration cases.  Ms. Shen attained her Juris Master degree from Fudan University and bachelor degree from East China University of Politics and Law.
